The past tense is accurate. The laptop is used mainly as a test bed for ideas. CPU Frequency Scaling was removed a while ago and the laptop used for a new set of tests. Most of the earlier feedback has been made from my recall.

Thanks for the reminder as I had fogotten this. One observation, if one is comfortable with antiX it may be installed on a machine without being aware that a small element does not fully work and only discover this once the installed system is in use.

When installing antiX to hard drive via gui installer, you have the option to disable cpufrequtils.
You can also switch it off in CC.
