Hello:
I had not played with a usb key in Antix8 for a while, and I was frustrated at first because even though pcmanfm mounted the usb stick, I could not drag a file into it.
Then I tried copy and then pasting into the stick and it worked fine.
I thought I was able to drag files into the usb before. Any reason why I shouldn't be able to? I was also able to copy and paste an entire directory (which is why I was trying to do anyway), but not drag it.
thanks.
Pedro

Seems to be the same here with pcmanfm, but I use rox-filer more anyway where drag and drop works. (I'm not sure if dnd has ever worked with pcmanfm)

Thanks Anti.
How do you get usb to show up in rox? I can't seem to see mine. Only with pcmanfm.

I use pcmanfm to mount the usb device, but everything else is done in rox. Once the stick is mounted, you can use rox and also unmount in rox. Rox seems to be unable lately to actually see the stick and mount it. Not sure why this is the case.

I'd just like to repeat what anti said, so you know it works the same for someone else. After lots of trial and error, I found that it's best to mount and unmount any usb (hd or stick) with pcmanfm. I usually just use copy and paste with pcmanfm now, but rox also works after the hd or stick has been mounted. In wbar and the menu, I set it so the /media folder opens with pcmanfm, but the /home folder opens with rox (I think antiX does this, but I had edited my menu otherwise earlier.) This way I have access to either rox or pcmanfm very quickly.
