Hi,
I'm trying to upgrade antix stable to testing. Is it enough just uncommenting sources list items as testing?
During installation selecting testing not works.

During installation selecting testing not works.
Show me. Post the results of

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxrz
after a testing install is selected and you are done with the install.

Be mindful of this forum bug when replying back with my request.
Any instance of / etc . You have 2 choices. Delete the / in front of etc. Or. Put a space between / and etc
using your spacebar. Hopefully this will cut down on the questions about forbidden also.
Any forbidden posting error is because of the above forum bug.

Howdy and Welcome, Rok

Ok. Next question. Did you md5sum check your AntiX iso before burning the cd?

Hi,
I usually check md5sum of iso files but I don't remember for antix. I checked it my antix CD md5sum from sourceforgenet and it doesn't fit.
Is this cause this type of problem? Otherwise system seems to be work.

If md5sum does not match. That is the cause of your problem probably.
You have a corrupted iso installation.

Me. Being a team tester. I religiously md5sum all iso and delta files so my feedback on bugs is not tainted by corrupt iso downloads.

I had download new iso image and verify it with md5sum and its correct. I had install it as testing. Problem is persist, I have a stable antix again.
This way not solve my problem. Is it correct way to use source list change?

the installer has a bug that no matter what option you choose, stable gets setup up during installation. you can manually disable the stable repos in antix.list and debian.list and enable the testing repos.

the only difference in the two installations is the sources used. so changing sources and doing a apt-get update && apt-get dist-upgrade should be all you need.

I had to try it. First pass done smoothly. At the second synaptic update it offers me libsystemd0 crap. I prefer antiX it works without systemd at all.

Is there a way to choose stable/testing/sid during liveCD bootup?

You can edit the antix.list and debian.list before installation or after. It's exactly the same.

It isn't possible to install antix as testing or converting to testing via editing mentioned source files. Antix testing and sid are fictional without systemd.

WRONG!

I'm running aniX -sid without libsystemd0 and systemd also using eudev.

You will just have to wait until cups gets fixed, or remove it and then update.

New nosystend cups built and will soon appear in the antiX testing/ repos.
