Hi Anti,
Last night I downloaded and tested AntiX 7.5 test2.
The previous version 7.1 or so had refused to recognize or configure my LG Flatron L192WS.
This version does much better. The screen is actually 1440x900 but it gives me at least a full screen 1280xSomething. I could look it up.
The font, the text is tiny for my old eyes.
I love FreeSans 13. It is dark, contrasty and legible.
But congratulations on the improvements.
Planning to use AntiX on some older iron for the preschool. And the newer as well.
I will continue running sidux xfce on my desktop. Undecided on the laptop, but for now it has sidux with Xfce.
Mepis was my introduction to Debian based distros. I ran it faithfully for a couple of years: 2004-2006, then Kanotix, now sidux.
My sincere gratitude to you for continuing to showcase Xfce. With the release of sidux with xfce, and the increasing problems of Kde in Sid, I find Xfce a bright, stable corner of the world.
Fast, stable for the most, and it fulfills my needs for a window manager. I use several Kde apps as well as some Gnome apps. I don't begrudge the libs I need to load for they provide the usefulness that I desire.
Thanks and saludos,
Richard@openoffice.org

Not sure if I read the post wrong or what but antiX doesn't use Xfce. It uses Fluxbox and IceWM. Or did you install antiX-base and add Xfce? Just wondering!Richard wrote: My sincere gratitude to you for continuing to showcase Xfce.
