Hi, I want to try another desktop. I remember using the last antix version, on bootup I could choose the desktop I wanted. Has that facility been removed or did I not configure this option properly when I installed (in my case IceWM). Many thanks.

If your missing the F1 option on the login screen you most likley have a bad install.
You can also go to antixcc select"Session" then"Edit LogIn Options" then choose another desktop for your new default desktop.

One of the recent updates wanted to alter"/etc/slim.conf". If you said"yes" then slim.conf may no longer contain the list of sessions. Slim.conf should contain the line

Code: Select all

sessions dwm,rox-fluxbox,space-fluxbox,fluxbox,rox-icewm,space-icewm,icewm,rox-jwm,space-jwm,jwm,wmii

You can also use update-default-desktop to change the default and to make it work with desktops you have installed via synaptic or apt-get.
