Cannot shutdown

First off I like AntiX very much. Fast, efficient and clean. My problem is with shutdown. I go to the log out screen I then press the shutdown icon and nothing happens. Hibernate and reboot icons do not work also. Any suggestions on resolving this issue will be appreciated. Thanks to all. __{{emoticon}}__

Have you installed anything?

Try in a terminal sudo halt or a root terminal just type halt

Sudo halt worked. That's what it shall be. Thank you.
