Code: Select all

$ sudo apt-get install palemoon
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package palemoon
I updated but it didn't help.

I tried metapackage-installer, too. See the attachment.

According to this website , it is not in any repository at this time.

========= SCRAPER REMOVED AN EMBEDDED LINK HERE ===========
url was:"http://linuxdaddy.com/blog/install-pale-moon-on-ubuntu/"
linktext was:"http://linuxdaddy.com/blog/install-pale-moon-on-ubuntu/"
====================================

The files can be had from the sourceforge website.
Just follow the install instructions on the link and make notes of where the files reside.
I've installed a few programs this way , but your system won't update the browser natively.
Give it a shot , I've never tried palemoon , looks interesting though.
A hint , you should be able to copy and paste most of the commands in a terminal if you prefer.

palemoon is hosted in the mx-repos. It was moved to the main mx repo. So enable the main mx repo and you can install. meta-packageinstaller is using an out of date location (mx test repo).

Dolphins way is much easier , and better in the long run.
