Hi. I recently downloaded AntiX 11 and have been happily using it as a live disk.
On trying to install it, however, I ran into a problem. The installer allows me to set a user login name and password, and also a root pasword. I can log in OK an an ordinary user, but when I try and log in as root, it won't let me. I've found the same in Swift, which is based on AntiX.
Is this intentional (i.e. to stop me doing any damage to my machine) or evidence of a problem? And if the former, is there a way round it?
Thanks in advance,
CP .

The short answer is no, but it periodically comes up. See the following thread
