I've installed Antix M8 now, and it's working well. I want to add some of my own wallpapers, and can't do it at user level.
Ive tried to log in as root, but keep getting 'Failed to issue login command'
I've set my root password to something I know but antix won't accept it at login
I am using 'root' as username
Note:-
I also had this problem on the live cd

Hello petehandy:
there is no logging is as root. Log in using your user name, then open a terminal and type su and then your root password. That will give you root access from the terminal.
I hope this helps.

Thank's Pedro, I've got it sorted now.
I wanted to add some desktop wallpapers, so I found wallpapers in 3 places after searching for one.
I tried putting a pic in /etc/skel/Wallpaper, I couldnt do it at user level.
Your help was great, I managed to do it, however, this was the wrong place anyway.
The right place for it to be was /home/pete/Wallpaper
I did not need root for this as it is my own folder.
Thanks anyway, it's all part of the learning curve. I now know a little more linux!
