From their website:
CinePaint 0.20-1-1.3 is in Etch (stable). CinePaint was removed from Debian lenny (testing) because Debian has dropped support for GTK1. CinePaint GTK2 exists and Debian packaging work is being done by Aedan Kelly. Experimental debs are here.
You might be able to install kdenlive, by using aptitude rather than apt-get.
aptitude update
aptitude install kdenlive
To copy/paste from a terminal (wterm in antiX), drag cursor as usual and in new app, middle mouse button or right and left button simultaneously.

tx; greatly appreciated. will check that out.
EDITED:
I did check and lost hope about cinepaint due to my busy schedule and white hair growing __{{emoticon}}__ . Somebody with more patience than me atm will make it for sure.
Installed Kdenlive using your suggestion of aptitude. Have to start kdenlive by the command"kdenlive -nograb" otherwise will crash like in other distros due to cannot find 'drkonqi' executable . But it works, that's all it matters. Tx a bunch..will run Antix for a while...
Without wanting to take advantage of your time and coolness __{{emoticon}}__ , my biggest waiste of time with Antix is when I go back to the laptop after one day and can't remember what I was trying to do...Then this thought came to my mind: your Antix control center is great but do we have a tool similar to xfce application finder? it would be handy to find out the programs available and how I could clean up the house by removing the programs that I don't use....
tx for this great distro!
