hi, i have a problem with xmms. because of 10+ years of using winamp i only use f3 to search no matter what. i can't get out of my mind the f3 command. is there a way to bind F3 to open jump to file in xmms? i searched the net but didn't find anything. menurc in .xmms dosen't work everytime i restart xmms it changes the binding to default.

You should be able to edit /home/username/.fluxbox/keys to set up a hotkey for xmms.

thanks eriefisher, but i was thinking only in xmms. i currently use the f keys in fluxbox i don't want to modify them.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. The menurc file would be the only other place I can think of to do this, but you say it won't stick? Not sure then.
