I want these to show in the file manager when mounted or inserted.
Especially USB sticks.
What's the easiest way to accomplish that?

Thanks!

there are several ways. check out my video here, starting around 12:50 minutes for some explanation and methods

but my current favorite way to do this is to use devmon. i wrote a wiki entry about it.

there are more filemanager (and spacefm) tricks in videos 9 and 10 in this playlist.

Thanks Dolphin!

I worked around it by using SpaceFM.
Any thought to using SpaceFM as the default file manager ?
Also, can you tell me how to add application launcher icons to the desktop?

Thanks!
Both AntiX and MX-15 are top notch!

its a little weird, but open up the rox file manager and navigate to the desktop file (actually any file) of the application you want. you can drag it to the desktop. then you can right click any item and edit the launcher.

I personally use spacefm as the default. I use the Desktop>Other Desktops menu option to select spacefm-icewm. the result is sticky so you don't have to select it again.

Thanks! That worked great.
Just curious, do you use MX-15 or AntiX as your daily driver? __{{emoticon}}__

I go back and forth. I've used antiX 64 bit as my main OS for a long time, but currently MX-15 64bit is on my more capable machine I use for video production, and on my live usb for the chromebook. antiX 32 bit is on my eeepc netbook and a lenovo s21e (chromebook class hardware, win8 default OS, 16gb eMMC style SSD).

I also have a live MX-15 on a USB 3 device, that my son uses to play supertuxkart on the home media pc (still windows 10 based, dang itunes and families). I did a supertuxkart video for my channel, and we actually were playing the game off that liveusb.
