Now that Debian Wheezy has been released, antiX final is not far away,
but we need to test a few changes we have made to the boot options.
We have three different methods for automatically obtaining the
optimal X windows resolution. Unfortunately, two different methods
were best on the two different systems we tested on.
We need to get information from more systems in order to figure
out how to select the optimal method depending on system parameters
(video driver) so the selection of the best resolution can be fully
automated.
Please help us to help our users.

Hello anti
I am running antiX 13-beta3 live on this system:
It is a salvaged Dell Studio 1537

converted to desktop:
I removed the laptop screen and plugged a HDMI screen ASUS 228H 21.5" 1920 x 1080
Running live from USB, with default settings, the plugged (external) screen is detected and the correct resolution 1920x1080 is detected. __{{emoticon}}__
I will download the 32 bits version and try it on my HP Compaq 6730s laptop (with 12.5 I didn't get the correct screen resolution: I got 1024x768 instead of 1280x800)

@lagopus, thanks for testing. Do"auto res 1" and"auto res 2" work just as well as default? We really want to know how each of the options works on your system. We'd also like to know how the"modeset" options work.
Also, you might be interested in static root persistence which we added to this version. This is the way we had originally implemented root persistence.
