Just carve up /dev/sda10 like so
/ as 4 gig
/home as the rest
My Asus 900 has only a 4gig SSD drive and / fits on it OK.
My secondary 16gig SSD is /home. I think you will be OK with just 6gig though. Just be careful filling up partitions with apps and updates/upgrades. The first apt-get update and upgrade should be OK. I would be careful and pay attention to partition space after that. I find a good ./conkyrc file edited to show /home also will keep you monitered on how much space is left. Good Luck with it.
