Any updates on the status of Brasero? I.e. ironing out current bugs or decisions to move to a different burner?
I've scanned recent posts and have this experience to report:
Trying to back up my Home directory to cd using Brasero in antiX 7.5 on my Dell Latitude cpx laptop, Brasero launched a bizarre file scan moving way into the 20+ Gb range (larger than my actual drive!) and froze cpu at 100%. Restarting x or rebooting returned everything to normal.
So I installed gnomebaker and tried a similar burn. Again a brief hangup during scanning, but it eventually cleared. Then another freeze during the actual burn. But this time I got an error message about file structure being too deep (i.e.,"7" when the limit is"6"). The actual files were identified. So I removed .wine, .micromedia, and .mozilla. Then the burn went fine. I'm not sure if this is relevant at all or whether the gnomebaker message explains why Brasero freezes.
Just lettin' ya know...

Thanks for the feedback, though i have no idea why that is happening.
Will brasero be in antiX-M8?
We'll put it to a vote.
Personally, if it seems to be working ok, I prefer it to gnomebreaker.
