Hello. What's up with brasero? In the past, if I wanted to copy a dvd, I would rip it with lxdvdsrhinkg and then burn it with brasero using the data dvd option. However, it's all weird now. When I tried to create the data disc, brasero first wanted to make an iso. It didn't seem like I had other options, so I let it make the iso. When I tried to burn the iso, brasero couldn't find my blank disc. So I put it in my second drive. Brasero recognized the disc, but the burn option was greyed out. So I decided to try the entire burn process again from the beginning. Somehow, brasero deleted the dvd files from my hdd. Finally, I loaded up zenwalk and tried to use their brasero to burn the image (same version number). It had the same problems with the blank discs as our version did. Any ideas? Thanks.

I just noticed that too.
It must be a problem with that brasero version. You can wait for a fixed version to be upgraded (the one in unstable/sid is the same as the one in antiX), use an alternative app, or downgrade to the one in stable (version 0.4.4-4)
If you downgrade,
apt-get remove --purge brasero
Comment out Testing (and unstable if you use them repos)
apt-get install brasero
Change repos back to how they were.
To pin brasero ie stop it getting upgraded
echo brasero hold|dpkg --set-selections
To unhold
echo brasero install|dpkg --set-selectionsdpkg --get-selections | grep hold
To list packages on hold

Mine in sid works ok now, it went nuts a few days ago.
So the problem is not brasero as such (the version in Testing/antiX is the same as in sid).
I'll try and find out what the problem is.

Thanks. What I'll probably do is this:
Rip the dvd in 7.5 and then use the 7.2 livecd to burn it. Thanks for the info and help so far. (Thank god our desktop and portable hdd's weren't stolen...)

Ripping in 7.5 and then burning in using the 7.2 live cd got old, so I installed gnomebaker. Unfortunately, it can't write the dvds - something about the wrong medium, it's not writable, or something like that. So maybe it's not the frontends that are to blame, but the backends? Maybe there's some issue with common depends? Anyway, just a little update on the research. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a livecd to run ...

Have a look at xfburn. It might do the trick.
