I hate GnomeBaker (default CD/DVD burning program) because it doesn't offer the verification feature I need. How am I supposed to know if my CD/DVD burned properly when I'm not given any verification of this?

I like PBurn and burniso2cd from Puppy Linux, because both programs offer the verification feature. Unfortunately, neither are in the Debian repository.

I like Brasero because it offers the verification feature. It has worked for me not only in other distros (like Ubuntu and Mint) but also in antiX Linux version M8.2. Unfortunately, version M8.5 refuses to let me install it. The error messages say something about needing libbonoboui2-0, libgnome2-0, and libgnomeui-0. So I try to install these packages, but I get more error messages telling me that I cannot.

cdrbq, cdw, and other tools are cumbersome and awkward to use. I'm not even sure if they offer the verification feature.

So my questions:
1. Has anyone been able to get Brasero working with antiX Linux version M8.5?
2. What are the viable alternatives to Brasero that offer verification? Is the ability to verify a proper burn too much to ask?

I'm partial to K3B. For me, it is very straight forward, I was able to pulled it from Synaptic, and it does verify. I like it because it just plain works for me in antiX 8.5. I never really liked Brasero. Probably because I used it in Ubuntu and it seemed buggy for me.
