Hello I'm french, not very good in english and a newbee in computer science.

I've got antix on a old pc for my daughter. I wanted a distro non-pae running in ram based on debian.
Is it possible for antix to run faster in ram ? as slitaz or puppy ??

If not, can I install something like bootchart ( sudo apt-get install bootchart doesn't work ..) in order you explain me how to fix this problem.

Thanks !!

Welcome and Howdy! Although I am from Louisiana in the USA, my French is terrible. Many here use Google Translator an an extension to help with the language conversions.

Tell us more about the computer your daughter is using. What cpu is used? How much memory ram is there? Which version of antiX are you using?

With the LiveCD, I know you can use antiX in RAM. Some older versions (13.2 and 13.3) work better on older pc. And some of the older kernels work better too.But this has been MY experience.

I have not used bootchart, so someone else will have to answer for you.
