Apologize for the Novice question - but I'm trying again to download Mepis Linux 7.0 32 bit , Burn it to a CD and Boot from it so that I can retrieve some Data from a dying windows Drive. However, I can't boot from my disc that I burned. I did it using toast on my mac - I was told this would work - but it doesn't appear to boot my HP xw8200? I was going to copy the image to a drive and extract it on a PC and see if that works? Any advice?

Remember to burn the iso as an image file and at slow speed.

You need to check that your hp is set to boot from cd in the bios as well.
