Well, thanks very much to all of you who have helped me get antiX going on this D600. It seems to be going great right now with a few minor exceptions. The good is that SLiM is working great, I've got it to where it will auto-login for my Grandpa and for the most part I've been able to edit the synaptics settings to the point that I enjoy the way the touchpad is working. You guys have been a great help and I really appreciate it.
One odd thing that does happen about half the time that I boot is that there is a Conky window that shows in the taskbar and in the upper left hand area of the screen. It is not labeled Conky and it has no activity. The only way I can tell that it's Conky is the diamod shaped logo on it. The window itself is very small and has to first be moved to the middle of the screen before you can even expand it. The window is set so small that there is no room for the minimize, maximize and close buttons so all you see is the diamond shape.
Anyways, why does this happen? I've read about it happening with the volume control. In that thread (on another forum I believe) it was recommended to increase the sleep time before the application starts in the startup. I did this to no avail so I'm trying to figure out some other solution. Has anyone else run in to this problem? Thanks.

Found the answer. In case anyone else stumbles upon my post as they're searching before they stumble upon the solution, here is the solution.

Well, I thought it fixed it but I guess it didn't. Started the computer today and the"ghost window" came up again.
The way I did it was I went to the CC and went to the"Desktop" tab and selected"Edit IceWM Settings". Then I selected the"startup" tab and changed:
#icewmtray &
to
icewmtray &
Is that what I was supposed to do? If so, it wasn't a fix for me.
