blackbox and openbox are more lightweight
In order:
Blackbox
Openbox
Fluxbox
I removed jwm and herbstluftwm and i installed Blackbox Openbox

blackbox is certainly lighter than fluxbox and icewm, but not as light as jwm. Openbox is heavier (on all my boxes) than fluxbox, icewm

There is probably an old thread here at the forums that compared RAM usage of wm.
Openbox did badly. (IIRC only a little better than Xfce)

I remember reading that but my experience of fluxbox v openbox in antiX had fluxbox coming out as less RAM intensive.

Anyhow, installing blackbox or openbox is easy enough for those users that prefer them (I quite like blackbox, never have liked openbox though)

I just did a quick test on antiX-16-full 32 bit (coming soon) in Virtualbox.

icewm - 47.9 MB RAM (default background image)
fluxbox - 47.5 MB RAM (default background image)
jwm - 46.5MB RAM (default background image)
openbox - 65.3MB RAM (no background image) - 54.8MB with wicd disabled.
blackbox - 43.3MB RAM (no background image)
jwm - no background image (ie just like openbox) - 35.9MB)
herbstluftwm - 51,5MB RAM

Clear winner in terms of RAM = jwm
Clear loser in terms of RAM = openbox

Added:

icewm - no background image (like blackbox and openbox) - 37.3MB RAM
fluxbox - no background image (like blackbox and openbox) - 37.7MB RAM

Openbox isn't (any longer) a fork of blackbox. (fluxbox is)

We have a lite option already. F6 boot min-icewm/min-fluxbox/min-jwm

To have a *box edition (adding openbox and blackbox) means people will ACTIVELY support it.
I don't have the time nor inclination to do so.
