Hi everyone! I've been using antiX for a day and it's pretty cool. Just a little problem... My video card is and old ATI ALL-IN-WONDER Radeon PCI wih 32MB VRAM. I just downloaded the latest version of Blender from blender.org because the version in the repos is an old one. The problem is that I'm not getting hardware acceleration with the OpenGL driver installed by default by antiX and Blender's performance is super slow even when displaying the default cube. SO, what should I do to fix it? I'd really appreciate if any of you can give me a step-by-step guide, given that I'm a linux newbie, moreso an antiX newbie __{{emoticon}}__ Thanks in advance!

you didn't state the model of the card. You might be able to install the non-free driver but you would need to know the model. The smxi script may be able to take care of it for you.

If you have a pretty much stock system you could use the mepis tools.
control-center>>hardware>>configure x server
This will download the driver and install it for you. Check your /etc/apt/sources.list to make sure the mepis repo is still enabled. I think anti disables it by default.
Right click and select run. Type gksu leafpad /etc/apt/sources.list. Remove the # in front of the mepis repo, save and close then use the mepis x-config as mentioned earlier.

I don't find the mepis repo __{{emoticon}}__
Not even through synaptic. Here's the content of my sources.list just in case:

I see you already enabled the sid repos. You will probably be better off using the smxi script for video drivers and updates then.

Read through it and use the one liner to install it. It will help keep you stable and let you install debian and sidux kernels to stay current.
