I ran the commands as root. But now I get this error:

Hi,
Thanks for the help. I ran the archive keyring install as root. Re-tried the apt-get update and still get the same error. I then rebooted the computer and re-ran the gpg commands. Still get the same error. How can I find out where the problem is?
I'm running antix12 - the full version installed a few days ago. Why does apt-get always say 'testing' if I'm running the stable release?

Because the antiX repos use testing. If you've changed the Debian repos to stable, any Debian files will come from"Wheezy" I think it is now.

Have not changed anything. Just using it. I'm happy to have use of my old IBM TP600 laptop again. Is it possible for me to remove the key that is having a problem and re-run the gpg commands to get the key again?

Did you try manually downloading the antix-archive-keyring.deb I suggested?

I just tried this on a fresh download of antiX-12-full.

apt-get update
apt-get install antix-archive-keyring (you are prompted to choose N/y. Choose Y as No is default)
apt-get update

Just manually downloaded and installed the key ring. Still get the error. Thanks for your help. If you have any other ideas let me know. I've been reading man pages but don't know enough to try anything other than what is suggested here yet.

if it makes life easier for you you can install/remove/update/upgrade stuff using synaptic.

sux gives an error, but it still works ok.
