I think I would want it to fit on a cd, I still have an old box that can't boot from usb.
(Or have a upgrade to full function in base)

Deleting pidgin and imagination would be okay. I would avoid removing the others because of the loss of function or in the case of the themes loss of some of the"character" that makes Antix a distinct distro. Libre Office could go as well if abiword was installed in its place.

1. Remove all Asian fonts : No
2. Remove all samba stuff : No
3. Remove pidgin : Yes (never used)
4. Remove imagination : Yes (never used)
5. Remove most icewm themes : Yes (most are ugly, at least outdated)
Maybe remove LibreOffice, and restore AbiWord
Please keep streamtuner !

IMHO all mentioned can go, especially the themes and the fonts. But I see the point of keeping samba if you use antix as rescue CD. I do use imagination, but I don't need it on a live CD and it is easy to install after installation, same for pidgin.
And yes, please keep the ISO in CD size, older systems, for which antix is known to work very well, often cannot boot from USB!

Here is the things I think needs to be removed.
1."ndiswrapper" seems useless in this distro
2.Transmission- because you already have another torrent program.
Please keep PyNeighborhood, and the samba support needed to see windows networking.( this is something I always use.)

i am not for removing transmission. it is a good gui torrent program. rtorrent is not so user friendly. also i use the livecd to download stuff from torrents with the help of transmission.

Being lazy, I chose the easiest way to keep the iso to below 700MB.
I removed the Asian fonts.
That's it.
Apologies to those who wanted it kept, but it is easy to install whichevr fonts you need and now we have persistence working well, live users should be ok too.

Well, I guess it is done then!
But still, maybe we should have a"vote" for things like, which themes people want, and such?
There are many I can't even use, because I can't even see text, or maybe put the less popular in an optional .deb?
If nothing else, it would leave more room for future improvements?

Yeah I say remove wicd
Ceni in my opinion is the best but not everyone will use the terminal based one
Don't remove ceni helps debug wifi issues or can connect when other can't

Why would anyone want to remove ceni? Do we really need a discussion about"wicd or ceni"? Ok, if I would have to choose I would always keep ceni, but IMHO both have their advantages and it's good that antiX allows its users to use the tool of their choice.
