Working on new laptop:
Dell Latitude CPi D266XT with 128 ram
It uses the mepis kernel but uses apm not acpi:

Have problems shutting down all the way.
Found:

Is that the /etc/kernel-img.conf file?
I'm not sure if - not clear ??

im quite sure that the kernel config file for your running kernel is under /boot/config-*name_of_kernel*
what the /etc/kernel-img.conf for might be good for i dont know.

i checked mine file in /boot and got similar entries than you (CONFIG_APM*), but they differ.

but from what i understand of your links editing either menu.lst or /etc/modules would be sufficient, or not?

hi, please post how you could solve it ( i got the problem now and then: shutdown goes till"halt" and i gotta shot down manualy. Im too lazy and afraid im gonna screw it up completely too. Your links have been very helpfull but i miss time atm)
