thought i'd use antix baseon a usb drive on my eee pc.
installed to usb on my desktop, from cd, installed grub
had a hard drive too with an existing install, and that got included in the grub install it seems
so when it rried to boot the usb drive on the eee i got 'error 15, file not found'
didnt work then .. could this work if i install from cd but without any hard drives in the desktop?

It should work with a little effort. anti has mentioned using the intrid option for this but I'm not sure how it works. Another option could be using uuid's rather than /dev/XXXX then the actual drive placement wouldn't matter. Using labels should also work.
