first of all hello to everyone.
I have just installed latest release M11 in an old PC I had , and installation went fast, that is the good part.
but I have a couple of issues. for example.
1.- when I got to the Application menu, it is empty.
2.- when I click on browser icon in task nothing happens.
3.- when I sudo apt-get install I am asked for a password which I do remember setting up (on installation) my root user and password. And I have no success it says incorrect password.
4.- the only way I can open a browser is by going to the help menu and selecting a topic option.
5.- just a note: I installed puppy linux before and also had problems and support told me that it was the ROX properties I had to disable compatibility.
anyone know how to fix this little issues?
Thanks.
Erick

On the other issues you have, it sounds like a bad burn on your CD.
I would try a reinstall first as it takes only a few minutes. Make sure you write down your user and root passwords __{{emoticon}}__
As far as sudo....anitX doesn't use it.
To become superuser, at the prompt type"su" <enter> and then your ROOT password and you will be able to operate as root or superuser.

Hello, glad you found antiX erick_alcala. Hope you will like it and have fun __{{emoticon}}__
open terminal by --> menu --> run and type"roxterm"
1)
--> for icewm (default), run"auto-icewm-menu.sh", if that does not help run"icewm-xdg-menu" and copy output to /home/USER/.icewm/applications
2)
--> This seems odd, would try to do a user repair through manage users in the control center under the system tab
--> if this does not work, open the icewm config file by running"leafpad /home/USER/.icewm/toolbar and make sure the line that says browser is the same as this"prog"Browser" /usr/share/icons/gTangish-2.0a1/32x32/apps/internet-web-browser.png /usr/bin/iceape"
3 ) as afab4 says use su to log in as ROOT user and then issue the"apt-get install" of course after a"apt-get update"
4 ) the browser should run by entering"iceape" from -->menu -->run, if it does not there are bigger problems that exist
5 ) Not sure what they mean by that.
