Mepis, PCLinuxOS, Ubuntu, and CrunchBang Linux all have groups on Facebook but not antiX.

Since antiX has a fairly large supportive community, perhaps someone here should start one too.

BTW, there are several"Antix" Facebook groups but none have anything to do with Linux. So, if one is started, be certain to include Linux in the group's title.

I never use Facebook, but if someone wanted to start a group, well be my guest.

I also don't use Facebook, so I'm not familiar with any advantages (or disadvantages of a facebook group).

How would such a group add to the information exchange already taking place in this forum? Would it detract from this? Would it just be an alternative?

A Facebook group is a supplemental page to increase the visibility of antiX.

It could not function as a forum replacement. It is more like a very low-volume Twitter page with links, announcements, photos.

Another option instead of Facebook"groups", is a new Facebook"pages" alternative, with a more organized look, apparently with primary emphasis on forum and blog RSS feeds, while retaining info/links and"wall posting" features.
