I have recently discovered this new distro through to Mxlinux and I wanted to try it but in Antix-core, I got a lot of message error:
+ I got this in the end:
" Chroot: failed to run command 'passwd': input/output error
Passwords are not identical. Retry:
" Chroot: failed to run command 'passwd': input/output error
Passwords are not identical. Retry:
A message that never ending scrolling...
Btw: the iso is a 32 bit version.
Any clue? Thanks!

Welcome aboard. __{{emoticon}}__
First , did you ensure you had a good download by checking the md5sum?
(Normally it will install without any problems.)
Re the password, it must have 2 identical inputs, before it will accept it & continue the installation

Which EXACT version of antiX-core are you using? Your screenshot suggests you have an X environment. If so, why not use the gui installer?

Hi, I downloaded the core and the base version, both in 32 bit... While the base version is fine, the core one is where I got this issue.
At first, I wanted to try the core version but I don't know how to do a screenshot in CLI, I have installed the base version. But even when you type 'cli-installer' in terminal, the problem is similar to the screenshot above. It is said that the password is not identical...

BTW you haven't said which core version. antiX-16, antiX-16.1 or antiX-16.2 or any other version?
Are you sure it is identical?Mr.Bean wrote: It is said that the password is not identical...

The only password I wrote is the first one just before you type 'cli-installer' in the beginning of the installation.
And of course I used the latest version of the iso : 16.2

I think you may be a little bit confused, when installing, it is asking for the password you want your new user to use, it will then also ask for a new password for the root user, as part of the installation. __{{emoticon}}__
