I was wondering if there will ever be a 64bit version for antix? The reason that I ask, other than the fact that I have a 64bit system, is that I love all that Antix dose but it only being a 32bit disrto dose not help me. Is there a way to make Antix detect all my RAM, I have 8 GB of it?

I thought about a 64 bit antiX, but i really don't have the time to keep it maintained.
You could install a pae kernel, there is one in the MEPIS repo 2.6.32-1-mepis-pae and its headers.
pae kernels are supposed to see up to 64GB RAM.

Once you have installed the pae kernel and its headers, do in a root terminal

update-grub

and the entry should be automatically added to the bottom of the grub boot menu.lst

Give it a try and if all is well, then you can remove the original smp kernel.
