This is not in the repo (yet).

Get the image and headers from here.

To install, download the files and use dpkg -i *.deb

Ignore 'errors' about symbolic link. They are just non-fatal warnings.

Comments welcome.

It does seem to work well, but it uses a little bit more ram on my machine.
It uses 82-ish now, and used 75-ish on the 3.4.1 kernel.
That is just the reading off the conky, but I guess it is good enough?
Just booted, and a 2 minute wait, on icewm-rox
The systemd stuff works, I believe, or at least I don't see any issues yet, and no delays while booting.

Can't really tell about more/less ram usage. Seems close to 3.4.1 and maybe the same.... __{{emoticon}}__
Boots up a little quicker for me. 20 seconds with iceWM norox and that includes wireless connected. __{{emoticon}}__

EDIT:

Used antixsnapshot to create a new .iso from my current sid install.
Made a new USB using new_usb.sh
Enabled persistence and am posting this from the USB. Uses 60MB at idle.

Since hard drive shows 20 gig. What I did. I pulled the 20gig new AntiX 12 full iso install hard drive out of my new/old IBM A22M laptop and swapped it out into the Amrel. I inserted in the IBM A22M the Puppy Linux Lighthouse Puppy frugal install 4.43 iso hard drive which is 3 Gig. I was getting a freeze up/lock up on the IBM A22M with the AntiX 12 20 gig hard drive and am not sure yet if it is hard drive or ram related yet. I have been swapping out ram sticks on the IBM A22M and I am just trying to see first if it is hard drive related. I will probably keep the Puppy install on the IBM because I have 2 of them and the other IBM A22M is OK with 512MB of ram and a AntiX 11 full iso install on a 30gig hard drive.

Fun and games in the desert.

My better IBM A22M Laptop. This one has more ram and better proceessor. It has a big difference between this one and the other one I got recently. To browse halfway decent on the other IBM A22M. I have to use Links or Dillo. Firefox and Iceape run like molasses. This one runs latest Iceape and Firefox OK with acceptable speeds.
