I have antiX-15 on a USB. When I boot, a terminal like screen comes up and shows"boot:". If I reply 'live' then the system boots up, but never goes to a boot options screen where the various Fx boot options are available. How do I access the boot options screen?

How did you install antiX-15 to the usb device? If from windows, we recommend Rufus.
dd will not give the F menus.
You also need a new version of unetbootin (linux) as well.

I downloaded an iso file. I used unetbootin from windows. I also tried with universal usb installer from pendrive Linux. same result. Are you saying I need to use Rufus in Windows to create the USB from the iso file and not unetbootin?

Unetbootin for Windows has not been updated to the latest syslinux the live media uses. Rufus has a module for updating syslinux that works with our media.JMarlatt wrote:I downloaded an iso file. You were right. Rufus solved the problem. I am grateful for the help.
Incidentally, the ISO I have been using is antiX-16_b1, not 15
