Here are 2 problems I experienced and the solutions from anti.
Problem 1: Upon upgrade the boot would hang and require"Control C" to continue at"starting udev"
Solution: run as root"apt-get purge oss-compat"
Problem 2: Upon upgrade"starting udev" would produce the error" udevd[11585]: failed to execute '/lib/udev/mtp-probe' 'mtp-probe /sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb2/2-1/2-1.2 2 4': No such file or directory"
Solution: run as root"apt-get -f install libmtp9 libmtp-runtime"
Finally reboot, and they should be resolved.

I had no sound at all on AntiX 13 with Debian testing repos enabled as default [details: how-to-upgrade-to-antix-13-from-previous-versions-t4421.html ], and after running"apt-get purge oss-compat" now I have sound with kernel 3.9.5.
