I spent today babysitting my big black male German Shepherd. He had endured a visit to the Vet and wanted to"undo" the vet's work....as dog's tend to do.

So I played around building a wolf wallpaper while babysitting him. I like it but am not sure about the the size of the wolf and the lettering. Smaller? Positioned somewhere else besides center? Give me your ideas.

So this is, like, the bad-boy brother of your"roots" theme?

I like it. I was going to say that a smaller wolf further down in the right corner would give a classier feel. But consider: the wolf is supposed to be an in-your-face theme. If someone is going to use it, they'll want the wolf full-size, and dead center.

Very nice, impuwat. I had the same thought as malanrich about resizing and moving the logo to the bottom right corner but, like he said, it has an"in your face" quality about it as it is. Nice work.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Tell me which of these you like better...left or right? Smaller yet or good enough? Also I beveled these so they have some texture to them. Texture or flat? Overlap on"antiX" or outside the oval?

Personally I'm really liking the lower right. The uploads are lighter than the actual wallpaper (darker and more golden for logo).

I like your"bad boy" characterization Malanrich...and you are right."Roots" is warm and fuzzy...this is more of a statement...a challenge.

I like the logo in the lower right best. I especially like how you integrated the X into the circle around the wolf. I'm impressed. Really nice work. Thanks.

I agree with moron. Very nicely done. One request: Please leave enough room at the bottom so that those of us who like our toolbar at the bottom screen don't cover up your wonderful artwork. Thanks.

Thanks for the advice everyone. __{{emoticon}}__ I appreciate the assistance. The logo looks best to me in the right hand corner and I've made it smaller than the screenshots. I agree with you Sakasa in that the smaller logo looks better.

Just playing with the lighting right now and I will post for download in the next few days. The lighting coming from the top"washes" out conky or the toolbar a little. I've tried it a simple flat black, which looks nice but the lighting gives interest and depth to the wallpaper.

I'm also having trouble with the gold color bleaching out a little when I convert to a png file. I'm experimenting with alternatives to improve the color translation.

With all respect I thank you for your comment. When you add up the logo into the wallpaper you can try two ways, sharpen it after or light up the logo slightly than sharpen it., maybe this will help you with the lighting.
