What packages are available for blocking ads and Flash animations in Opera? Those ads and automatically loading Flash animations are speed bumps on the Information Superhighway. Every time my computer freezes up, it's because of the CPU/memory-eating animations.

Right-click on the window background and choose 'block element'. Then choose what you wish to block.
Works pretty well, only it leaves blank spaces in the page. But there's a tweak to the CSS that can eliminate the blank spaces, only I don't use Opera and can't remember now how to point it to you.

To block flash, copy this to the address bar and press enter
opera:config#On Demand Plugin
Turn it on and click Save.

Pretty old post but I like Privoxy does a good job.
