Hello,

Thank's cheerfully to all members of the community __{{emoticon}}__
I've installed AntiX on a laptop successfully and am very happy to discover it.
I have a little problem though: during install process I was requested for a root PW and for a user PW, which I have done.
But when I tried to open the session as root, I had a fail login message; I think this is due to the keyboard which is installed as qwerty whereas it is azerty. I avoided the problem by opening a simple user session, then ordering the azerty keyboard, then when I have to do something special, I can write my 'root' PW and it is recognized... it worked that way, but for the updates management: all my attempts finish by a message"no authentication" which I think means that the OS did not recognize my PW valid (?).. I don't know at this stage what to do. Solving the problem for updates management is good, better even would be a solution to enter my PW as root, ie a solution to this automatic keyboard configuration. I tried several things to make the OS recognize my keyboard but all changes are ended with the session.
Thanks.

hi again,
yes I installed at the beginning from a live cd.
the computer keyboard is azerty type but still different from another azerty I had previously.
yesterday I opened a user session and could -after change of keyboard from english to french- open the option to manage users, there changed the root PW... it looked like working, but did not in fact 'cos I did succeed after reboot to open a root session directly. I 've done it a second time same result then I gave up.
