So far Antix is really awesome, but I have a few questions.
1. How can I have Antix always boot into the Space-ICEWM session by default?
2. I am unable to mount my USB drives. See attached.
3. How can I make Samba shares persistent so that when I restart my computer, my shares will automatically mount, so I don't always have to go to SpaceFM-plugins-mount shares
I think that's it for now. My next project is to create a bootable Antix CD/DVD with the apps I use all the time. __{{emoticon}}__

I am in MX14 right now but I know default Window Manager can be set by editing
hidden file .xinitrc in your /home/username
It is pretty easy and is near the top of the page. If this biker can figure it out. You probably can also.

For your other questions. runwiththedolphin/aka dolphin_oracle might show what you need in one of his videos.

1. the easiest way is to go into control center > session> Edit Login Options, and select space-icewm from the list.
2. That's a new one to me but removable drives should not be in fstab. You could umount the device, comment out the fstab line, and see if mounting is still an issue. I also tend to change the mount commands in spaceFM to blank/auto. This is in the spacefm settings menu.
3. check out connectshares for this. once you set it up (pretty simple really), you can uncomment the connectshares startup command in ~/.icewm/startup and the shares will be mounted when you log into icewm.
I also use a bootable usb with all my apps. usually i use persistence, but lately I've been using a usb made from an installed system using antix-snapshot (in menu>applications>system tools).

setting autologin is described here:

mounting USB:
different ways to skin a cat.
Clicking"Devices" in spaceFM toolbar and choosing the USB stick from that selectbox always works for me

There are also some videos by dolphin_oracle on Youtube. Some of them are slightly out of date, some refer to other distros than antiX, and they cover a lot more ground than you need to simply connect to your existing shares. They are are worth checking out.
As mentioned above by dolphin_oracle, Connectshares can easily and simply do all this for you. Perhaps the following links might help you along the way...rmcellig wrote:3. How can I make Samba shares persistent so that when I restart my computer, my shares will automatically mount...
