RD uses systemd. RV uses sysvinit. That is the difference. Google will be your friend on the difference.

Oh!...makes perfect sense now...plus, had I scrolled on down to the bottom of the download page, I would have seen a legend that explains it all. __{{emoticon}}__

Nice screen shot there, BTW. I've got to find something to install on the old T40 ThinkPad and your post made me kind of think..."why not AntiX 14"?

Wait a bit on AntiX 14 32bit. I am probably one of the only testers with a full install of 32 bit testing release candidate 3.

I am pretty sure this coming January that the team will be releasing a new testing candidate 4 32 bit. Because.
I just tested a kernel for Anti that should boot just fine on your IBM T40 since it botted fine on my IBM T23.

So just be patient in case RC3 does not work out for you.
There is a new release on the horizon, I am certain of it.

Thanks for the heads up! RC3 failed to boot with kernel panic on the T40, so looks like I no choice but to patiently wait for the final release. However, there may be an important difference between the T23 PIII CPU and the T40 P M, the T40 won't boot a PAE kernel. I think the T23 will, but I can't test for sure...my T23 is in parts in a box somewhere. I may have to dig the old thing out and play around with it one of these days.

Here is a old screenshot. I think you are right on the pae thing.
My screenshot shows pae capable.

But saying that. The kernel I tested for Anti was i486 so I would not sweat it maybe?

Lean, mean, and buffed. Some guys can stick with your plain black desktops with a menu.
I can't.

Before someone asks where I found this.

Yep. Especially as it is pitch black outside.

But I like it anyways.
