Hi again, Where would I look for WM startup files ? What might they be called ? I'm using space-icewm. I want to set keyboard to default spanish at boot. Roland

Does it work, if you edit the (iIrc) second line in your / etc/default/keyboard file to spanish?

I tried / Control Centre / System / Edit Config Files / Keyboard / changed XKBLAYOUT="uk" to"es" / Save.
This seems to have made the change I wanted permanent. I'm learning bit by bit. But I'll still look in the WM startup files long way round when I get back from UK. Thanks to all you contributors, Roland
