Last few days I can't login to a hotmail email account. I searched it a little and found

url was:"http://webtechreview.com/hotmail-does-work-badly-with-linux/"
linktext was:"this"

. I read this:
Be that as it may, if you wish to use Hotmail you accept to argue it that you’re active a browser that Hotmail recognizes. The IceWeasel developers acclaim that you use the Firefox add-on, User Abettor Switcher. IceWeasel’s aggregation recommends you chase these instructions, so that your browser will now attending like a archetype of Firefox active on Windows XP for best affinity with torn sites.
I'm not sure I understand what it says, but I don't find any User Abettor Switcher add-on. Only a User Agent Switcher, but after having installed it, I still can't login.

At least, I can login with Palemoon.

Did you actually change the user agent or just install the plugin. The switch is not automatic.

Pale moon works because the deva are already spoofing the user agent string for a whole host of sites.

I created a new"Palemoon" user agent within Iceweasel (I did copy-paste the user agent from Palemoon to Iceweasel). But, after having changed the Iceweasel user agent from default to"Palemoon", I still can't login.

You need to change to a firefox user agent string.

Palemoon does not use its own user agent string. It has a built in override.

It worked with this one I found at the article linked at my first post:

Code: Select all

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.0.3) Gecko/2008091700 SUSE/3.0.3-1.1 Firefox/3.0.3
Thanks a lot for your help.
